Let's see.....it's been a while. I guess we have a lot of catching up to do....

I had a housewarming/jewelry event, where I revealed my paintings for the very first time. Yes, for those of you who don't know - and that would probably be everybody - I am also a painter; was, in fact, painting long before I ever made a piece of jewelry. I recently rediscovered the artform after a Detroit crackhead decided to relieve me of all of my jewelry supplies (a theft late last year - more on that later). Anyway, with everything in limbo, I managed to pick up the paintbrush again. I normally work in oils but have been experimenting with acrylics. I am still defining my style.

I was able to recover from the jewelry theft - (a loss of thousands of dollars worth of beads, baubles, gemstones, hardware, and tools - with the help of CERF (Craft Emergency Relief Fund).

Manifesting Things. An idea whose time has finally come..... Manifesting Things, as some of you may know, is a book project that I have been working on...for all my life, it seems. It was finished two years ago, then it was finished again. Finally, it is finished for good....at least for now. It's so finished, in fact, that I am working on the artwork (cover left) and formatting the text for publishing. YOU will finally get to read it by mid-January 2007! Manifesting Things is just the first of many books on my publishing roster. At 170 pages, it is a non-fiction, semi-autobiographical, inspirational work drawing (somewhat controversially, I might add) from a mixed pot of spirituality, religion, history, and philosophy.
